"I contracted pneumonia and also incurred a concussion while performing in a show. I completed the run of the show, but I was really sick and had to turn down my next job offer.
Suddenly I had no income and felt pretty frantic about where my rent money would come from.
I contacted the Actors' Fund and was greeted with kindness and respect. The reassurance and practical help I got from the Fund were overwhelming and so supportive at a time when I was feeling very low.
The Actors' Fund gave me a chance to regain my health and get back out there to do what I was meant to do. It's an incredible organization that really cares about the contribution artists make to our world.
I urge my fellow artists and anyone who appreciates their work to make a commitment to the continued vitality and wellbeing of this invaluable Fund."
