"While recovering from hip replacement surgery I was unable to work for three months. This procedure exhausted all my financial resources. When it came time for my second hip replacement I had no money left and no one else to turn to.
The Fund allowed me to recover at home in comfort and safety. I honestly don't know what would have happened to me without the Actors' Fund.
The Actors' Fund has given me the opportunity to keep going and to keep working toward the next tour, the next album. Since my recovery I have been able to play concerts, plan tours and keep my forty-year career on track.
There is no guarantee of financial success in a profession in the Arts. It is so wonderful to have the Fund to draw from in the hard times and to contribute to in the good times.
